I have a small tattoo, and I just can't imagine getting all of that done, and it's only the outline. Wow.

It does look pretty good. Looking forward to after pics.

Definitely laser. It sounds much cooler than scraping and I'm sure scraping must leave a nasty scar.

YAY!

wally - i absolutely love it, and i said the same thing, that it came together so well.

steph - why thank you

fish - my first one was tiny, and i just got hooked. what is your tattoo?

toby - thank you. in laser tattoo removal, they shoot a specialized laser at the ink, and it breaks up the pigment into smaller chunks, which are then carried away and disposed of by your body. it is harder to remove green for some reason. this process is much less painful, much more expensive, leaves no scar - at most a slight discoloration, and usually gets most of everything. scraping leaves some horrible scar tissue, and usually a little color too.

d - me too!

Yep, done all the research, I just don't have anywhere local to have it done. There was a doctor here who did it, she began it as a program to rid ex gang members of their gang tats, but she is no longer here. (even though it's still listed in the phone book, she's been gone for 10 years)

toby - well that's helpful. don't you love crap like that? my sister was trying to find a rheumetologist that took her insurance, there were about 10 listed, none of them were either there or took that insurance any more.
but at least you know what you want to do, and i'm sure you'll find something.

tk - it was pretty bad, but survivable, and oh so worth it.

I think backs are an excellent spot for tattoos. A back tattoo probably won't sag as you age. ;)

hannah said...

mom - the biggest problem is that as cool as it looks, i can't see it without a mirror. many people won't get tattoos on their backs for exactly that reason. but it should not sag at all, and remain in roughly the same spot forever.

(OK. Just checking in! Enjoy those home cooked meals, gurrl!)

i don't like repeating myself folks:
if you aren't adoring me IN ONE OF MY LANGUAGES or giving sage advice(love ya wally) then don't fucking comment on my site.
this is my parade, and those unknown are not welcome.

not being prejudiced but if i can't understand what it says, i don't want it on my personal site

It's a design: sort of like a celtic knot, but not really. The best thing to do would be to post a photo of it. I wonder why haven't I done that before? Soon...
